I think word is out on roles, so let's summarize what we know. Please correct me where I'm wrong.
William was The Eugenicist. He earned investigations when citizens idled out. That's probably why he was Imprisoned--because Oswald and/or Gretchen were about to idle out and earn William an investigation. More evidence that they might very well be citizens--if they were spies, William wouldn't get jack squat from their idle-outs.
His one investigation when Jocelyn idled out, he targeted Levi. The result apparently bounced to Rey, and William got: "Rey is not a Citizen with a role".
Who knew: Ariel knew early, as well as Tiberius. William told a bunch of people before the Faith exile, because he was in trouble. Kirsten was aware. Rey was aware. Please help build on this information.
Ellis was The Protector. He protected people from Exile and Imprisonment. Exile on odd numbers, Imprisonment on even numbers. He protected Rey from Imprisonment 2, Levi (bounced to Rey) Exile 3, Ariel and Rey Imprisonment 4, Mirela Exile 5. He protected Jason and I at Imprisonment 6 because we're spokesmodels and holders of much information on roles, and was killed because he couldn't protect himself. He had hoped to protect Amelia from Exile 7, even though she could possibly be a spy, because we agreed that that one piece of evidence might not be enough by itself.
He won a powerup at Future Challenge that gave him double Imprisonment Immunity-giving power for a bit. The spies already know this, so the rest of you might as well know too.
Who knew: Ellis came to me after Paris's exile and said he trusted me 100% because of the way both Jaya and Almathea attacked me. Plus the 3 dead spies in our group of 11 thing I brought up made him willing to take a risk. So he asked me to be his spokesperson, and I was ok with taking the risk and protecting the Protector to see if there might be a spy in our group of 7 remaining. I told Rey, Jason, and Gabriela (and Ellis, who was pretending to be AFK) that I had Ellis's role, and asked them not to tell Pete, Tibby or anyone else. Ellis faked a slip to Kirsten, and Rey intentionally slipped the info to Tibby and Thor. I later told Pete myself. Eventually, Ellis decided to let Jason in on the true secret because of Jason's voting record and general wisdom.
There's a Watcher out there who picks a target each night and sees if night actions happen to them. I have their list of views, as do two other people I'm pretty confident are Citizens. If Spies try to fake having roles later, they will very likely get caught by The Watcher's views. Unless, of course, The Watcher is a Spy.
The Watcher claimed a role powerup from the Future Challenge that doubled their views. The Watcher was tested and to some extent passed, so they definitely have the ability to watch. Whether or not that's a Spy or Cit role is impossible to say right now, but I'm leaning slightly Cit.
I know who the Watcher is. You'd never guess.
*giggles* If anyone tries to fakeclaim being the Watcher later in the game after The Watcher and I die, they'll be caught.
There is a role bouncer out there named Destiny Deflector who also came forward to me after someone in my group persuaded them to. (What good little elves!) This person bounces night actions off one person to another. Magically, when William tried to investigate Levi, he got a result on Rey instead. That was the Destiny Deflector's accidental work, apparently.
They could be a spy role or a cit role, tough to say, but they came forward willingly to me out of the blue, so that might be a point in their favor. They also claimed to earn double deflects as a Future Challenge powerup, which matched Ellis's powerup. If the Spies try to lie about roles, they are very likely to get caught in their lie by a Destiny Deflector bounce eventually. Unless the DD is a Spy.
Why am I telling you all this?
1) I got permission from the roleholders in the weeks before I was "imprisoned" but didn't get a chance to post this in time.
2) The spies probably know about most of this already. Time to even the playing field and get the Citizens better informed. Too many people didn't have William's role info that might have made decisions easier.
3) If the Watcher and DD aren't spy roles, it's good to make the spies paranoid. Even if one is a Spy role, it's doubtful both are. So now the spies have to think twice before boldly claiming some BS role or result.
4) So you can make better decisions at future exiles. If you're about to exile a person with a role, and they claim at the last minute, at least you've thought about that role ahead of time. Nothing sucks more than watching a roleholder get run up for exile and not being able to defend them knowing you might give their role away.
5) With this info public, the role claimants are more nailed down and will be less free to fake information if they are spies.
6) With this info public, I'm less likely to get imprisoned for having information. I may or may not have shared all this information with one or more "confirmed" cits so if I die the info's still out there. (hint: it's not blabbermouth Rey.)
7) If you have a role, please consider telling me now. I can advise you on the best ways to use it, or possibly get you in touch with another role holder if you both agree to it. I've kept secrets well so far, so you can trust me at this point.![:)](http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif)
