Have any ideas about future Spies themes or future catchy names? Maybe just a flavorful setting, or a fictional world, or a new kind of 'spies' (ala witches)?

You have to keep "Spies" as the name Sam ~ it's your calling card as such. Perhaps you could do a Mission Impossible type theme - international travel, deceit, espionage, etc etc. And replace Tom Cruise with Clive Owen, tyvm in advance.

I still think that the celebrity edition of Spies that was suggested last season would be pretty great. Just my 2 cents. I can just picture a spy team of say, Hulk Hogan, Oprah, Richard Simmons, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Kim Jong Ill, and Paris Hilton or something.

Let's see what I can find on Thesaurus.com.
Spies 7...
The Paradox The Nexus The Axiom Genesis The Caveat The Quandary Discord Vexation Cacophony The Upheaval The Maelstrom The Cataclysm The Tempest Magniloquence (lol)
Themes I'd love to see: Celebrity (VIP section, tabloids) Royalty (Kings and Queens, heroic Knights, a round table, jousting matches) Roman (Gladiators, sacrifices to the Gods, betrayal of Caesar) Earth (Game changes with each season. Summer intense, Autumn colder and unpredictable, Winter frigid, Spring calm and peaceful)
I think you can take a twist and manipulate it to fit the theme if you try hard enough. The most trusted who make decisions that round can be the VIP group or the Round Table. Anonymous messages to the Burg from players can be the tabloids, duels between everyone in the burg to see who is more of a spy can be jousting matches, Gladiator and Knights can take charge of the game, and game shifts can be attributed to seasons. I just think it'd be a lot more fun and get you a lot deeper into the game than just "do this activity kthx."

College Greek System;
Why?
Because Greek is the most awesome of the TV shows like Gossip Girl, the OC, etc and GUESS WHAT?! Its extremely funny [very witty dialogue], has character development, extremely believable characters and no plot holes and the best continuity ever seen on a show that isnt emmy award winning.
I thought it would be awesome to expand on the group system for more than one round. Sort of combine the Spies 4, 5 and 6 systems; here is what I liked/hated about each one:
Like list: Spies 4 - You had freedom to choose your team Spies 5 - You worked with your team on challenges and to elect council of nine, got rid of Caela making me look citizen for 7 episodes! Spies 6 - Got rid of the first episode trauma of 7,000 players, clean, neat and fresh
Hate list: Spies 4 - Utterly pointless, unnessacarily made you unable to vote teammmates and there was no incentive to "only talk to your teammates" Spies 5 - there was no incentive to "only talk to your teammates" in round 1, but in rounds after there was, should have been there from the start
I think having a team to bond you and avoid the too-many-people sydrome from the START (like spies 6) and continuing on for a while (like spies 5) would be great. Freedom to choose would also be good - but not in the Spies 4 way where it was first come, first serve.
So how would you combine 'choosing' and 'being put in a group?'
FRATERNITIES AND SORORITIES!
Spies 7: Greek System or Spies 7: Greek Row
btw I'm Irish so have never had any contact with a greek system but I like the whole idea of there being lots of comeradery, history, stereotypes and even a whole culture behind it!
It would make a great theme as there would be hazing rituals, being a pledge [whoever loses first week challenge in each house will be the slave to players in episode 2 or something], rush week, philantrophy activities, keg stands, masquerade balls etc etc! And the whole college them could incorporate A SECRET SOCIETY (potential for the first mason twist! well second technically). I think the flavor is more light hearted giving a rest for Judge Sam with writing imprisonment stories as our own brother Ryan [Yvette] is a brother! And Kate [Mirela #1] is a Greek hater!
Rush Week could be where 3 players are randomly selected, by random I mean Judge Sam divides the players into 3 groups [actives, different timezones, newbies to mafia etc some kind of criteria] then random.orgs each group to find a leader. The 3 leaders are heads of a fraternity or sorority [Alpha Gamma Theta, Epsilon Upsilon Psi, oh the possibilities!] The leaders then get to them 3 days early, and get to plan how they will make their house the best in their own private forum eg.
One player may say that they want a HOTTIES CLUB or one might want a serious players club etc
Then on day 0, which would last 2 days, the leaders remain anonymous and blend in with the players. Then they must rank the players, and through some system they players are sorted into their houses! And identities are revealed
Then Episode 1 begins, and we have the same effective Episode 1 of Spies 5. A challenge takes place to determine a 'chooser' (and pick 2/3, a recycled twist but the only time in spies I would recycle), but the losers of the challenge in each house become 'pledges'.
The 'Spies' could be a society of anti-greek students trying to destroy the system (actually a storyline in TV show Greek). The 'McNeal' or 'Matilda' of the game could be the college dean!
Ooo and the theme could capitalise on the fact that Spies is different to Mafia because of its personal nature - could a brotherhood/sisterhood take this to whole new levels - the game could be the most challenging yet as players bond with their sorority/frat in late night challenges, having to vote in the first round, completing a project for the viewers lounge [the 'Philantrophy Challenge' where each house must make a story depicting game events to be posted in the viewers lounge where they judge the winner! etc etc]. Being so tight with players brings an emotional involvement that can cloud judgements ... !

McCarthyism has technically already been done. Every year, like clockwork, I suggest pirates, ninjas and zombies. And yet I've yet to see any of those things appear in Spies (except that one time I actually played a ninja as a character in Spies 3). Can we please get some pirate / zombie characters in for Spies 7, guys?

History:
American Revolution: Undercover British spies.
Roman Empire: Enemies to Caesar v. those on his side. (I call spies7Brutus. Spies7Caesar: WTF! There are so many people planning to vote me. I count at least 4. Spies7Brutus: Oh, I'm going to vote you as well. Spies7Caesar: Et tu, Brutus? Spies7Brutus: Yeah...you're obviously trying to lead the town)
World War II: You can think of something. I just want to be spies7Hitler. I'd even settle for spies7Mussolini.
Spiritual/mystical:
Angels v. Demons
Witches vs. innocent townfolk: And will we burn them at the stake!
The "standard genre story":
A Hot Fuzz type storyline: A group of town leaders want their utopia society and try to achieve it by killing those that don't conform.
Secret Society: A secret society has some objective (world domination, control of nuclear armaments, trying to get their cousin elected to town council) and somehow a group of innocents got involved in the story and must root out and remove the perpetrators.
Science Fiction/Fantasy:
Alien invasion: Aliens have invaded a town and are slowly eradicating the human presence as they disguise themselves among the living.
Save the world!: A fellowship of 9 adventurers must reach a fiery mountain in the heart of the Enemy's lair to destroy the ultimate artifact of power before it gets in the hand of the evil one.
Save the universe!: A group of rebel fighters led by an upstart young man who recently learned of his powers has to battle an evil empire led by the man's father himself.

I don't think Spies would mix well with a science fiction/fantasy/unrealistic theme. Part of the allure of Spies, to me at least, is that everything is a scenario that could happen or could have happened in the past. (Now I know the post-apocalyptic setting of the first three games is bordering on science fiction, but they don't get into aliens and robots and whatnot, just human beings betraying one another.) McCarthyism has been mentioned a lot, and I completely agree that it would work as a theme.
Revolutionary War, WWII, Ancient Rome/Greece, or British royalty in the time of Henry VIII and such would work really well (I really like the British royalty one actually, there was a lot of deception and conspiracy back then.) But one that I don't think people have mentioned, that I like a lot, is Bloody Kansas. The main conflict (bushwhackers vs. jayhawkers) perfectly lends itself to Spies, and the game could actually have a western feel to it. And, as a side note, it would hit home for Sam (he lives in Kansas.)
Potential Spies Titles: The Bloodbath The Massacre
Uhhh . . . that's all I got right now. Will sleep on it.

Alien invasion: Aliens have invaded a town and are slowly eradicating the human presence as they disguise themselves among the living. This was going to be my suggestion. The Aliens' roles could be weird alien powers they have, and Spy HQ is there telepathic link that lets the communicate instantly without others knowing. The human roles could be like scientists with technology to detect alien molecules or DNA, one person could even be a half-breed with a Survivor or Traitor win tactic. You could even set it on one of those cliche claustrophobic isolated space mining stations, and to exile someone you shoot them out the airlock into space XD
