Some of you may be surprised, even shocked, at the title of this thread. WELL YOU SHOULDN'T BE. The truth is that Mirela has done fantastically well to last this far, assuming she is a spy. A lot of people, because they can't see what goes on behind the scenes, seem to be assuming that she's not doing anything, and are begrudging of her success as a result. I don't believe that. I think I and a few other people here owe her some big props, and she's just not getting them. Here's why I think this is wrong. Put simply: I don't think Mirela could have survived half as long as she has if she was just relying on Jenya, which is what a lot of people are (rather disparagingly) saying. Even from what we see in the burg and at exiles, she deserves more credit than that. Mirela's got herself into a position where she can effectively act as spyishly as she wants, and it's practically accepted as her "just being Mirela". Now that IMO is one helluva accomplishment. It means that she could practically do a passive-aggressive OMGUS chainsaw-defence (and, let's face it, she probably has at some point), and the cits would still just accept her as one of them. Yes, strategy freaks may grumble that she doesn't fit their definition of a "great spy", but I don't think Mirela is playing this game for kudos or for show, she's playing this game to win. And let me say that I think she's doing one FUCKING AWESOME JOB of that. So yay Mirela!  |

I just hope she's a lot more pleasant to talk to one on one. All I see in the exile chats and in the burg are insults and swearing for the most part. *shrugs* It doesn't leave a good impression.
If she really is a spy I can't wait to see how she convinced so many people she was a citizen because I was suspicious of her from like future week on and nothing has changed that for me in the slightest.

I suspected her strongly from round two onwards. In fact, if it wasn't for her calling out Levi, who I suspected as well, I would probably have targeted her instead of Donald in episode four... I'm not saying nobody SUSPECTED her (hell, practically everybody I spoke to did), but I am saying she's done a fantastic job in shedding those suspicions and getting to this point in the game in as good a position as she's in. |

In fact, lets hear a word from the source about that: spies6mirela (1:30:46 PM): so now i'm totally 100% confirmed your a citizen I guess that all changes when you're a spy and need some citizen to mislynch, right? Last episode, you defended Gretchen irrationally, and then tossed suspicion on me and Levi, and voted me. As a citizen, you would have had reasons to believe Gretchen was a citizen, correct? I'm plenty interested in hearing those reasons. As a spy, though, a neat play would have been to defend the citizen who was getting exiled anyway, and then pin the last mislynch on me afterward. Now only if she can get two people to agree with her. |
