Quick Summary
The game got off to a good start for the Spies. Two factions formed as one group of players wanted to exile a semi-inactive while the other wanted to exile a player who pushed very strongly to exile that inactive (Sage, the Psychic). The inactive was exiled by a one-vote margin and revealed to be a citizen.
Julian the Spy subtly spread the idea that Gurinder was a good spy suspect, marking the first attempt the Spies made to control the game or sabotage the Citizens. Monica the Counteragent decided it was a good idea to investigate Gurinder. Gurinder was revealed to be a Citizen. A strong bond formed between the Gurinder and Monica that lasted the entire game.
In Episode 2, the players who had previously voted for Sage were determined to eliminate him. Despite having the the Psychic role, Sage never revealed it, and was eliminated. Both counteragents next investigated citizens (Emma and DJ).
A challenge for imprisonment immunity was a turning point in the game. Citizens formed temporarily alliances to knock their Spy suspects out of the running. Monica and Soraya revealed their counteragent status to each other. Unfortunately, they did so by"subtly" hinting at the text in their role description to confirm the other as truthful. This got them as close as you can get to being kicked out of the game. They nearly were. Not clearly spelling this out in the rules is the biggest mistake I've made as a host and the rules have been fixed for future games. Despite this, they formed the Miss Scarlett Alliance, which included the 3 citizens they had investigated.
The Miss Scarlett alliance then eliminated all 3 Spies in a row, thanks to teamwork, trust, perceptiveness, and the ability of all its members to keep a secret. However, it wasn't always so clear cut. A crucial mistake by Gigi and Julian during the minutes before live Exile 3 revealed a connection when both were targeted. With Gigi's reveal as a Spy, many pointed to this to secure Julian's Exile.
Gigi the Spy made a strong impression with her personality as an older French heiress. She managed to stand out and appear friendly without appearing threatening. Her poodle Fifi frequently made appearances and was almost as popular as she was. It turned out that Fifi was a robotic dog that exploded when Gigi turned out to be a Spy.
The most infamous moment of the game involved an anonymous messaging system (no longer in use) that was utilized by Soraya to trap the last Spy, Mercedes.
Soraya sent this anonymous message to Mercedes:
Mercedes tried to respond:
Judge Sam questioned her choice:
Mercedes decided not to send the message, but imprisoned DJ anyway, sealing her fate. Now, when a Spy does something so stupid that it reveals their Spy identity, we call it "A Mercedes Moment".
Massive credit goes to DC (aka Monica, Adriana, Bebe, Summer) for writing this up. I added pictures and made it pretty. Thank you so much!

IMPRISONED
The most infamous moment of the game involved an anonymous messaging system (no longer in use) that was utilized by Soraya to trap the last Spy, Mercedes.
Soraya sent this anonymous message to Mercedes:
"... All hope is not lost, you can call me a wild card. Of course the spies need some help and thats why I am here ... Now if you know whats good for you you'll imprison DJ. Or else its bye bye spies!"
Mercedes tried to respond:
"Are you a secret spy-helper? Is this a card that has not been played? Do they know that I am a spy? And how do I know that you are not the counteragent who is just trying to save yourself before I find out who you are? And how do you know I'm a spy in the first place?"
Judge Sam questioned her choice:
"Are you sure you want to send this? You are the only Spy. You are admitting to an anonymous citizen that you are a Spy."
Mercedes decided not to send the message, but imprisoned DJ anyway, sealing her fate. Now, when a Spy does something so stupid that it reveals their Spy identity, we call it "A Mercedes Moment".
