Sweat dripped down Oswald's face as he moved around the room, vigorously barking commands to keep things moving. His superiors would have his neck if his conveyor belt was backlogged again today after the mess from the previous day. An entire belt shut down because his operating crew configured the machinery wrong. And on his watch!
Something caught Oswald's attention out of the corner of his eye. "No! No! No! Ariel, you're sending those through the wrong chute!" He sighed and shook his head. Errors with sorting was going to backlog the workers on the other side.
Ariel blushed as she picked at her hair net with her oil-stained work gloves. "I'm sorry, you know I'm still getting the hang of this job!" She rushed to fix the mess, but it was too late; too many of the misrouted items had already made their way to the other side of the chute. Mistakes were becoming more and more common as the anxiety took its hold like a deadly plague. Everyone was afraid of being taken down by the Spies... Or so they would have you think.
Oswald, however, did not have the luxury of letting fear take its hold. Not until work was over, that is. He let his mind wander for a moment. His vision began to blur as the items relentlessly moved along the chutes and belts.

Head Boss McNeal had wanted to expand the scope of the factory to expand profits, so he had installed candy making machines in the south side. Who needs those dastardly vending machines when you can make the candy yourself!
The packaged goods were coming out at a rapid pace, as always, and it was Kirsten's job to tally them up. Crackers... crackers... pretzels... gummy bears???
"I don't do gummy bears!" she said to herself. Someone on the other end of the chute must have been sorting things incorrectly, again. Sometimes Kirsten wished that things moved the other way, so she could send crude items through to make their lives more difficult.
She sighed and threw as many of the out-of-place items as she could into the error pile while letting the other items slide across the belt. They would have to be sent back and put through the right belt.

Levi hastily grabbed items off the end of the belt and assorted them neatly in their respective boxes. The packing had to be exact, otherwise the package would not close and seal correctly.
Jason, who worked on the other end of the belt, had just finished sealing his package when he quickly opened what looked like a bag of gummy bears. "Another error. And as I always say, it's not my job to fix their mistakes."
Jason began muttering under his breath about incompetence, and began wondering if he meant to direct it at Levi or the people who couldn't seem to get the sorting right.
Levi glanced at the clock and exclaimed, "Well. Looks like it's time for a break! I hear they got pizzas in the lounge. You coming with?" When Jason didn't respond, he shugged, threw the wrapper on top of the pile of closed boxes, and walked away.

The box made a loud thud as it slid down Boris's fingers and landed on the truck bed. "Jeez! Whoever would have thought a box of crackers could be so heavy?"
Tiberius put his box down right beside his. "No kidding. How did you wind up as a loader, anyway? Someone as short as you would be better off doing something that didn't require so much lifting.”
Meanwhile, Oswald walked past, followed by a throng of excited paparazzi taking thousands of pictures of him. He strutted and posed as he continued by.
The lights hanging overhead flickered a bit as they walked back to the boxes. "Loader shortage, remember? They're desperate for anyone they can get! But trust me, my sore muscles wouldn't mind the easier job."
They made their way back to the pile of boxes. Tiberius picked up another box. "What can you do?" he said as he made his way back to the truck. Boris prepared to pick up a box, but noticed an empty wrapper on top. He looked at it puzzled for a moment, and then tossed it into the trash can.
He sighed and thought to himself, what can you do? He picked up another back and began following behind Tiberius.
A moment later, the flickering lights shut off completely. SAFE: VULNERABLE:

Chaos erupted all through the factory. Screams of terror could be heard from all sides of the building as people ran to escape the darkness. And all escaped, except for one!
Oswald has been fired and Imprisoned by the Spies.
You will never see him again. Oswald : please post Final Words in your confessional immediately. Judge Sam: “Ouch. This one might be the cruelest of all! Oswald #3 you were just getting into the swing of things… and were cut short before you could really get started. I’m sorry. Usually I say in these things I hope people enjoyed playing, and I know that even, what, six days in the game is still a fun experience. Though I’m not quite sure you had a chance to acclimate to things yet haha. I hope you got a taste for the game and would consider coming back for more next season. <3 It was cool to have you, thank you for replacing in and keeping up with things. I appreciate it. If you found the game interesting and would like to find out who the remaining Spies are I encourage you to stick around and talk in the loser’s lounge!” Judge Sam: “IMPORTANT SCHEDULING INFORMATION: Starting immediately, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are going to be days off from the game. Please don’t post in the Burg (with the exception of the scheduling thread don’t leave yet!). I am not going to change your AIM passwords cause that takes forever – but please keep your logging on AIM to an absolute minimum. Take these two days and a night off from the game! But before you go we have a very important special event coming up which I am looking forward to. It is a live event on AIM ~ and this time, I *need* everyone to come. It is exceptionally crucial and could change the outcome of the game DRASTICALLY! My dream is that we could find a time where everyone is available to play. If you never come to any event ever again this is the one you need to be at. Drop all other plans. =) I’ve never asked you to drop all plans for this game which you all love so much before but this is IT! Now hold on don’t clear your schedule yet because first we have to decide upon a time. In the Burg I have posted a Scheduling thread as usual with times available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you know your schedule please post there ASAP and I will try and get a time. I will factor in people’s schedules who are not here at the moment. EVEN IF YOU RARELY ARE ABLE TO COME TO EXILES – I’m looking at a few of you reading this right now – please seriously consider seeing if you will be able to be at a computer and on AIM at this time this is very important! Once again, I would like everyone to come if possible. =) Thank you for this and I know I’ve asked you to come to a lot of live events lately, but we are down to the serious core group of people and this is such a game-changing moment I really would love most of you to come! Additionally I don't think we will have any non-Exile events in the future. Thanks. Please keep in touch and post your schedule. Come back Monday for more information – I hope to have a time finalized by then so you can know absolutely when it will be far in advance.” Fear not those who argue but those who dodge. -Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach
