Okay, I've been busy with the holiday weekend but I'm going to have to find something significant to contribute tomorrow.
Khaled is still suspecting me for my stance on Robert, which is funny because that's the least suspicious thing I've done. I need to talk to him, and I need to cast suspicion on Faith based on her trying to hide the Robert thing.

Oh, and this confessional is reminding me of Harriet the Spy. Sam, if you're reading this, did you ever read that book when you were a kid?

I'm taking quite a bit of heat now for the Robert/Yvette thing, which is funny because if I were a citizen I would have done the same thing.
Everyone wants to know why I didn't save Callahan, though, and my answer is lame, but THAT's what I would have done if I were a Cit too. However, when I'm town everyone always suspects me.
Anyway, I got one person who suspected me (Mirela) fully on my side now. I think I'll be fine.

I have not read the books but I have seen the Nickelodeon movie, does that count?
Thank you for updating me with confessionals constantly, they are perfect I appreciate it. Yours is one of my favorites! It's at the bottom of my giganto list of confessionals so after I scroll past everyone elses I usually see a new post from you in here that gets me excited to read haha. I know it's time consuming being a Spy with everything you have to do but the confessionals are really cool. And after the game everyone is going to be super-eager to read about your manipulations and exploits and all that stuff as the game went on.
Could you tell me a little bit more about what happened with newMirela? Sounds interesting.

Thank you! The confessional may be my favorite part of the game, honestly. I was defending myself in the chat last night, and Jason told me privately he was PMing with Mirela and she said something like "Iris is defending herself any way she can." He thought it sounded negative, like saying I was throwing everything I could against the wall hoping something would stick. So I said now I have to defend myself for defending myself, but I can't be obvious about it because she can't know you just told me that. We started chatting-- I can't remember if I approached her or if she approached me-- but she had questions on the Callahan affair and then I explained the Robert/Yvette plot to her. In the midst of it I said, "I'm not going to be like Callahan and just lie down and fold. If I'm going, I'm going out with a fight because I feel I have a lot to offer the Citizens. I'm at my best on Day Two or Day Three when there's a voting record to analyze. That's when I start getting good at catching scum." Ironically, that's what seemed to turn the tide for me (unless Jason and I were wrong and she didn't suspect me for fighting). She said, "Good for you," when I said I wouldn't fold. That's when she proposed we make a secret alliance, that she was inviting Ellis to. She wants me to invite others as well. I'm going to invite Jason or Amelia-- probably Jason-- because people wouldn't think we would work together like that if we were Spies, they'd think we'd take pains to avoid each other, I think. Then I'll invite someone else who is a Citizen and is either easily influenceable or someone who's a hothead and becomes convinced that their suspicions are 100% true. It depends, though, on what you have in store for us! If we're still on teams and the teams switch again that could change. I've got to do a better job of interrogating people though. It was hard this weekend, I had FOUR days off so I've hardly been around.

Sorry, Sam, I've fallen down on the job on my Confessionals. It's been a stressful IRL week and it's affecting my game play.
I've done a good job on getting people to trust me-- Faith, Mirela and Levi come to mind. I'm not sure why Faith trusts me, she just gets a "cit" vibe. Same with Mirela, I think. Levi seems to trust me primarily because I trust him.
What I've done a terrible job of is independently suspecting people. And it sucks because it has nothing to do with me being a Spy actually. If I'd been a Cit I'd have been offline most of the time this week too and have the same problems.
So my goal for today is to play the challenges and FIGHT LIKE HELL to win them. I want to win one for the Cits. It will earn me some Cit cred. And then my goal for tomorrow is to come up with 3 people I suspect, including one Spy, and go on the offensive with them.

And sorry for the complaint...I saw an opportunity to act like a Cit and I seized it.

I very seriously intended to make the challenge this AM to try to fight like hell for the Citizens but I failed. I couldn't wake up. Now we're having a late dinner so I'm going to miss the next one too...hope to make the 2 after that.
I'm worried about the Imprisonment, we're tied and I don't know what will happen. I didn't know Gabriela going would make Pete look bad.
It's a tough balance. I'm trying not to talk too much to the other Spies because I don't want to know information that I shouldn't know. We need to get together and compare notes more though!

Yesterday my strategy seemed to work pretty well-- get into the challenges and play my heart out for the Citizens!
My reasoning was this. If the Citizens won the benefit of the challenges, we could still get our fingers in the pie. The strong town cred seems worth more to me than the power ups and the investigation.
I definitely won some town cred. Oswald went as far as to say he's 100% certain anyone who won the map challenge for the Cits is a Cit.
I'll tell you, while playing I actually forgot I was a Spy I wanted to win so badly! I think I even partially won over Khaled and Gabriela a bit, who voted for me last time. At any rate, I'll be safe this Exile, I'm sure I won't be the top-vote getter.
And now I'm going after Amelia, so I won't be stuck with no Spies on my suspect list nearer the end of the game.
