(tons of the flavor can be found in the Public Grounds forum - spies6.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pub94095 )
For Spies 6 I tried to include a little more flavor surrounding the game, including expanding upon the theme of a 1940's auto factory where the workers are trying to organize. Here's a summary + links to everything added!
Setting the Scene: Tells you a little bit about the background of the story.
Who: Auto, Inc. and the Pinkertons VS. The Burg Union
When: 1940's
Where: The Burg, a small, but booming industrial town home to the nation's best auto factories
What: a conflict between laborers and management over working conditions
Why: greed for money. What else?
Happy International Workers Day! - All about August Spies and the Haymarket Massacre.
What is a Union? - background information on the US labor movement.
Unions Today - Includes shocking information about Wal-Mart! Lots of information on how professional union busters systematically destroy worker's attempts to organize.
A Collection of flavor resources
Imprisonment #2: You're Fired - The first Imprisonment story starts off the game with a story about the first union meeting.
+/- Voting Story Explanation - The story continues in this dialogue. Why the auto workers decided to use different voting shifts is explained in a cute back and forth conversation.
Instant-Runoff Voting Dialogue - A similar dialogue with the second voting shift, this expands upon the first.
Imprisonment #5: Gastronomical Guilt - The story action continues with two tales about how the union busters are disrupting the worker's attempts to organize.
Spies 6 Opening Video! - Contains lots of flavor in flash form.
Blueprint! - Stolen from Head Boss McNeal's private offices.
Instant-Runoff Voting in Today's News
spies11jane from the future - As part of Future Week, fictional characters from future Spies games came to visit. This thread tells the story of spies11jane who rly needs ur help findin the last spy!
A Lotta Power Summary - This isn't so much flavor but it's a really cool summary of the first challenge and who outlasted the rest.
