...And it occurs to me that I've been very uncharitable to the citizens left in the game recently. "Nasty Ellis" has been taking over a bit too much. After all, the cits are just doing their best, even if they are a lot of fuck-witted ignoramuses. (Hey, I can be magnanimous!)
What brought this on was Jason's video. (Jason WINS the Memory thread, btw. There's not even a contest on that front. Other submissions made me laugh, but Jason's made me shed a tear and touched me in a place that... well... we won't go there. Let's just say it was emotional.) I loved how he could find positive things to say about every single citizen / traitor in the game (except Oswald, whose entry made me LOL). So this is my thread to say nice things about people I've "dissed".
What I've said about Kirsten - empty-headed, no judgement of her own, a missile who makes a big impact but needs someone to target her.
Ya, but... Well... she did come up with the Donald case way before I did. And she was dead on about Iris. And I can excuse Amelia because she does tend to overthink things.
What I've said about Rey - Can't make his mind up for two seconds about who he actually wants to see exiled.
Ya, but... I still think Almathea would never have been targeted if it wasn't for him. I think Rey's contribution to the game has been vastly understated by many of the people still in it.
What I've said about Amelia - Everyone thought she was a spy long before she went and tied herself to Iris in a moment of madness.
Ya, but... She still managed to organize the exiles of Thor and Rey before her own, buying the spies five citizen deaths and a lot of chaos.
What I've said about Iris - Her "Mercedes moment" got her a certain exile at a point where some people (me, for example) were actually defending her and Faith looked likely to be exiled.
Ya, but... before then, almost nobody was certain about Iris. A lot of people still thought she was a likely citizen. And it's so easy to make a mistake that gives you away when you're a spy.
What I've said about Patton Oswalt - got no balls.
Ya, but... He got rid of Amelia easily enough, didn't he? The sheep became a lion then.
What I've said about Adam Lambert - One of the worst "cleared" citizens ever.
Ya, but... I think I've misjudged him. Late on in the game, he's really come into his own. And he's getting credit for a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that we didn't see. I think maybe he could be Jenya's unexpected nemesis if he survives long enough to see it through.
What I've said about IT - brains but no personality.
Ya, but... she's coming into her own more and more, like Jason, as the game draws to a close. She's another one I think might step into the limelight and surprise us all.
What I've said about Mirela - ZOMG most annoying player in the game easily.
Ya, but... On the occasions that we see her sense of humor, she's often unexpectedly sharp. I really like that about her.
What I've said about Ariel - Led two of the three dumbest citizen exiles of Spies 6 (the third being Yvette, which she didn't lead.)
Ya, but... Nah, sorry, I can't argue this one.
