Spies 6: The Union rages on! 16 intrepid factory employees fight for the right to work in a pleasant work environment. Meanwhile, the machinations of malicious McNeal and his menagerie of meanies make the machine-manufacturers morose. McNeal has hired 4 labor spies to inform him of the emerging Union's every plan. Using intimidation, psychological attacks, violence, and possibly even a little seduction, McNeal is working to destroy the Union from within. If he accomplishes his goal, he will become filthy dirty rich and you all will be forced to work 80 hour weeks as his poolboys at his 50 million dollar mansion.
So far 4 labor Spies have been drawn and quartered and just 4 remain.
Get your punch cards ready cause here's the roster!

Please note, these rules serve two purposes. First, is to poke fun at traditional forum mafia. Second, the real rules for this round are intertwined. If a rule sounds outrageous that's cause it is and it is not real! I tried to make the outrageous rules outrageously so. If you have any questions on the real rules, ask!
Rules:
(borrowed heavily from tarhalinder)
<0> I am the Mod thy God. If a dispute arises, my decision is final. That said, I am not infallible - if I make a mistake or you have a question, please inform me of the problem (preferably via PM or bold text) and I will correct it.
<1> This is a game. I hope that you have fun. In return, I ask that you not have your fun at the expense of the other players in this game (in other words, don't be a jackass). Repeated or extreme violations of this rule will result in replacement or modkill.
<1a> Attempting to use loopholes in the rules to gain an advantage in the game is considered jackassery, and will be treated as such. This applies to things like encrypted codes, invisible text, editing and deleting posts, trying to use the structure of the role PM to gain an advantage, etc. Please, use your common sense!
<2> If there is a conflict between a role and the rules, the role wins.
<3> Claiming that another player is your scumbuddy may result in a modkill.
<4> Quoting private communications (role PM, etc.) between the moderator and you or pretending to do the same will result in a modkill. Paraphrasing, however, is not only acceptable but encouraged unless I explicitly say otherwise.
<4a> If your English teacher would call it plagiarism, it's not a paraphrase. (This elaborative rule added 4/27/2009 to clarify Rule 4.)
<5> You may not talk with other people about this game outside of the thread (but see Rule 2).
<5.5> You must make at least 7 content posts in this thread or you will receive two self-votes at Exile #7.
<6> This game will have both a vote count and a FoS (Finger of Suspicion) count. All players will have 1 vote and an unlimited number of FoS'es (but see Rule 2).
<6a> A Finger of Suspicion is just a recorded note that you find somebody suspicious. It does not do anything but formalize a suspicion on someone.
<7> To help the game run smoothly, votes and FoS'es should be made in bold text, and use the format ##Vote: XXXX and ##FoS: XXXX, respectively. An unvote and/or unFoS is required to remove a vote or FoS; to unvote or unFoS, please use the format ##Unvote: XXXX or ##UnFoS: XXXX.
<8> If a player has a majority of votes, that player is lynched and cannot be unvoted.
<8a> This happens instantly, as soon as a player gets a majority of ##Vote: XXXX's they are lynched, keep careful count and watch who you may be giving the hammer to.
<9> Each game day will begin with a negotiable deadline of 3 weeks in place. You may petition the host to add extra weeks. At the end of each week, if I find the activity level in the game acceptable and the week does not end with the deadline, then I will extend the deadline by one week, to a maximum of twice the original deadline (a maximum of 6 weeks); the maximum deadlines are not retractable.
<10> If deadline occurs without a full majority and a majority of voting players are voting for a player, that player will be lynched. Otherwise, No Lynch will occur.
<11> You may elect to No Lynch. In order to No Lynch, one of the two following conditions must be met: either a majority of living players must vote no lynch, or no player receives a majority of votes before deadline. (To vote No Lynch, please use the format ##Vote: No Lynch. FoS'es for No Lynch will not be counted.)
<12> Don't drink and post, lest ye receive Public Humilitation. (This rule is an injoke and doesn't actually do anything.)
<13> You may not PM or IM or otherwise contact any player at anytime about this game, regardless of if you are living or dead. If your role makes an exception to this rule for you, strictly follow the new rule in your role PM. Exception: all forms of intra-hydra communication are allowed.
<13a> Cast votes and unvotes that do not follow the formatting guideline described in <6> and <7> will not be counted.
<13b> Twilight Expiration Trigger: Twilight (the period following the last vote needed to lynch,) will last for a set period. In alpha that period will be 6 to 18 hours. In beta that period will be = to 2 * the number of living players in posts. No votes will be accepted during twilight, and action submissions will not be accepted during Twilight. Flavor Excuse: lynchings are messy. The town has to clean up the gallows, burn the body, ect.. and it takes some time to build up the level of aggression necessary to kill another of your neighbors who might very well be innocent.
<14> Once you are dead you can no longer post in-thread. Not even a "bah." post. Seriously.
<15> All players need to post at least once every 24 hours, or inform me if this is not possible. If you do not post for 24 hours, you will be prodded. If you are prodded, then you will need to post something (a simple "/prodded" will suffice if you're short on time) within 24 hours or you will be replaced. You will receive an Official Warning the second time you fail to post for more than 24 hours. The third time you fail to post for 24 hours, you will be replaced.
<15a> If you have limited access, you need to post to this effect, either in V/LA or in the thread. If I prod you despite you declaring V/LA status, call me on it and I will be duly embarrassed.
<15b> If you post before I get around to handing out the prod, you avoid the prod.
<16> Hydras (two players sharing the same alt account) are encouraged as a way to reduce the chances of replacement. All hydras will be public (all players will know who makes up each hydra) and hydras are static. You can't replace half of your hydra. I will not deal with hydra drama. If you PM me about drama within your hydra (not getting along, she changed the password, whatever), I'll just replace that hydra. Claiming to be experiencing hydra drama within the game thread is allowed... but if you use your non-hydra account to do so you will be replaced. Replacing out = loss. Replacing out for tactical reasons = ban from my future games.
<17> This game starts now on Night 6. Players, please /confirm.
<17c> You are not allowed to use PMs.
<17c2> You are not allowed to use AIM.
<17e> You are not allowed to post anywhere but your confessionals, Spy HQ, and this thread.
<17eee> Confessionals will remain open, continue to use them as normal except do not post your vote in your confessional post it in this thread.
<17alpha> Spy Headquarters will remain open.
<18> Any player who is modkilled automatically loses the game. I will modkill in the fashion that I deem most damaging to the modkilled player's faction.
<19> I reserve the right to add rules if necessary (or if I really, really want to).
<20> Okay, that's enough formal-sounding rules and stuff. Good luck, have fun!
<21> If you have any questions please ask me in-thread as they occur to you. I will be as fair and helpful as I can.
<22> I support free speech. Quote anything you like (except for ongoing games!) whenever you like. All forms of cryptography that do not require software (or more than 1 hour for me to work with just pen and paper) for encryption or decryption are acceptable as well. Do not PM or otherwise contact players outside the thread with game related information unless you are explicitly permitted.
<23> The game ends when all living players are members of the same faction. If the game never ends then there will never be a "winner".
<24> Votecounts will or may appear at the top of every or any page. If you want to request a votecount, send me a pm or ask for it in bold.
<28> Editing posts is not allowed.
<29> Mass-claiming is allowed, but not recommended.
<30> The votes of some roles may or may not be worth more than otherās votes, so the day might end while it may seem that not enough votes are on one person (or the day doesnāt end while it seems someone has enough votes). Therefore, there will be a difference between a visible votecount and a real votecount. I will not show the real votecount until either of the votecounts has more than half of all votes on one person. I will tell you the value of your vote in your role pm and whenever it changes: if your vote counts for 0 you can vote normally but it wonāt have any effect in the real votecount, and if your votecount is a negative number you can try to prevent a lynch, although none of this is in the visible votecount. Negative amounts of votes are possible!
<31> Rule <16> is a lie.
<32> Everybody has a certain amount of coins, which can be used to buy items. I will pm you every night to tell you how many coins you have. You only know how many coins you have yourself. It is possible that you will receive more coins during the night, or lose some, but I will not tell you how or why, the only thing you know is how many coins you have.
<32g> Nobody has any coins.
<33> Night talking is ON.
<37> Lying is a sin; pretending to break a rule (quoting a fake role PM, for example) will garner the same punishment as actually breaking that rule.
<38> If you have to think about whether or not you're
<49> Live in constant fear!
<fifty> I reserve the [OOC] command/color-combination for my own use; any other colored text is fine for you to use.
<66> Robust cryptography and steganography are not allowed in my games.
<592> I have assburgers.
It was dark outside. A group of shadowy figures sneaked into the castle. In the castle it was darker, and there was a group of even shadowier figures. A mysterious wind blew the torches out: no one could be recognized anymore. Then the alarm sounded: 'Intruders! There are intruders in the castle!' The battle for Bowser's Castle has begun, but how do you fight if you can't see your enemy? That's right, you play a game of... mafia.
It is Day 6, with 19 alive it takes 10 votes to lynch.
Day 6 deadline is Tuesday, July 7th.
Day 6 deadline is Tuesday, July 7th.
