So here were their roles:
Mei Yun = Astrologer
You have a special role. You are the Astrologer. Should you be able to read the pattern of the stars and predict the future, you will be able to save one person (like a doctor) on the following night.
Every Episode you will play a game. I like to call the game: "Betcha I'm right!" Live at Exile, after someone has been chosen to be Exiled but before I reveal their Spy/Citizen Alignment, you will make a guess. Create a new topic in your confessional called something like "Episode X Astrologer guess" and guess whether the person Exiled is a Citizen or a Spy. You must post your guess before I reveal it!
For this to work you would need to attend live Exile each time so you can post your guess in the few minutes while I am telling a short story reveal. I will give you at least 2 minutes to post your guess in your confessional, however it may be longer. Regardless, if I reveal that person's Alignment before you lock in your decision you will not receive a guess that Episode.
In the event you know or are unsure that you will be able to make Exile you can make a guess beforehand. Just post a list of everyone in the game in your confessional and guess whether they are a Citizen or a Spy. If you are not there I will go by your pre-posted list for that Episode. I'm not going to use old lists though if you don't make 2 or more Exiles in a row so post a new topic with your list for each Episode you think you aren't going to be there!
--------
Okay so we know that each Exile you're going to play a game where you guess whether the Exiled person is a Spy or a Citizen before I reveal it. If you are right, you receive Saves which you use at the next Imprisonment on people. If the Spies select someone you Saved to be Imprisoned, instead nobody is Imprisoned. If you are wrong, you receive no saves to use for the next Episode.
Two more details:
1) Good news: Each time you successfully answer the question correctly, the # of Saves you get on the next successful answer increases by 1. So the first time you get it right you get 1 save. If the next time you get it right you get 2 saves. Let's pretend now you get the answer wrong, so you get 0 saves. But after that you get it right again, so now you are back up to 3 saves, etc.
2) Bad news: Should you successfully Save someone from Exile, you can't Save anyone else in the game. This aspect of your role concludes and a new, interesting aspect of your role takes place. I will tell you more about that when the time comes.
You have a lot to gamble on my friend. Let's hope you can guess not just players Alignments but who the Spies are targeting. Good luck!
Gabriela = Taskmaster = winner of the choose your own role contest
Congratulations! You are the winner of the Choose Your Own Role pre-game contest. As your reward you will receive your role.
You are the Taskmaster. Once in the game, you can move roles around.
Every Episode before Imprisonment, you have the option of selecting two people. You do not have to select people.
You cannot choose yourself. If you decide to select two people, and either or both of them have roles, they will switch roles.
If one has a role and the other doesn't, then the person with the role will lose their role forever. The other person will gain that role.
If both players have roles, then the two players will switch roles.
If neither has roles, then nothing happens.
If you successfully move a role around, you will NOT be told this. Despite your ignorance, you will then immediately lose all of your powers and become a regular Citizen. You can only successfully switch people's roles once. As soon as you actually change people's roles, you lose this power forever, though you will not be told that your future selections are pointless. Choose wisely, if you choose randomly you may hit someone.
Note: If you successfully have roles switched, those roles will still be in effect that Imprisonment for those people that previously had them. Example: Before Imprisonment you switch A and B. 'A' had a role and used their role, they still get to use it and get back responses for that episode. After they get it, then they switch for the next Imprisonment. i.e. you can't cancel someone's role action that Imprisonment by using it.
If a role is moved around, the person who receives this role will not receive information about its previous usage, however the role will remain intact as is.
Remember that both Citizens and Spies may have roles. If a role is transfered from a Citizen to a Spy or a Spy to a Citizen this will not change that person's alignment. It is not a problem that these roles change alignment, although small adjustments may be made.
If you wish to select people to switch roles, do so by creating a new thread titled "Episode X Taskmaster switch" and tell me which two players you wish to switch. You must create this thread before I start posting Imprisonment or it doesn't count. If you do not post a thread I will assume you are not using it, you don't have to post that you aren't using it.
Although you came up with this role, I am wondering if you have fully understood all of its possible applications. The ability to take someone's role away from them forever is a power yet before unseen and will certainly impact the game greatly. Will you be able to take a Spy role? Will you give a role to a Spy? Time will tell.
You are the Taskmaster. Everyone has a job to do, including you. Your job to do is to tell everyone else what job to do.
You have to option of picking any two members of the burg who are currently in the game.
If both players have a role, they swap roles.
If one player has a role and the other does not, then the role is transferred from the player who has it to the player who doesn't.
If neither player has a role, nothing happens.
NOTE: Alignments do not change. So if you choose Alice (Citizen) and Bob (Spy), Alice remains a Citizen and Bob remains a Spy.
The details for you to iron out:
How many times can this be used. I'd say clearly no more than once per round. But possibly even less than that, like only so many times over the entire game.
Perhaps a task needs to be completed to earn to right to use the ability. Or secret penalty votes, the number of which increases with every use.
Should there be a limit on the number of times you can select someone to be the target of this ability?
Can the role holder select themselves as one of the switchees?
What if a Citizen gets a Spy role, or vice versa? Should all roles have the stipulation "You will be declared Cit/Spy in the event of an investigation"? Imagine the ensuing chaos if a Spy got a Cit role, and then was investigated!

William = Eugenicist
You have a special role. You are the Eugenicist. You are an accomplished scientist that has developed many important advances in your career. However, your brilliance isn't limited to just technical matters. You believe your expertise extends to social ones as well. You see humanity as one living, breathing organism... and no organism survives without making priorities and leaving some parts behind. Specific others behind.
Your goal is to eliminate inactives.
Every time an inactive is voted out at Exile, you receive a powerful reward.
Your first reward is a citizen role investigation. You get to ask me the question: Does ____ have a Citizen role? I will answer yes or no.
So what qualifies as an "inactive"?
- Player fails to vote at Exile without excuse.
- Player fails to post at least 2 conversations in a given episode.
- Player is a citizen removed from the game by me.
If a player who is eliminated at Exile meets any of those criteria in the Episode they are eliminated them in, you receive your reward. Your reward will be given to you after the following Imprisonment.
You are not allowed to encourage anyone not to vote, not to post conversations, or not to participate in order to gain a reward. If you do so you will not receive the reward.
The rewards may get better as the game goes on. You will be told what your next reward is once you have received your previous one. You have several choices to make with regards to your role and how you play it. Good luck. If you have any questions, please post them here.
