So basically what happened was, I was a sweater with a bit of thread coming loose. Then when other, more aggressive players saw that thread, they pulled and pulled at it until i was just a pile of it. They never stopped to think once, "Hey, this guy might actually be a citizen". Of course, many players from other teams loved me. They thought I was nice, and unquestionably innocent. Yet they could not, as I could not, stop what was to come.
I knew it was really over when Ariel and her special power posted in response to something in a thread negatively toward me. She was the avatar of a second chance, and she never even batted an eyelash when I begged her to choose me. Something about my team keeps them from changing their minds. I don't know if it was constant spy reassurance or the groupthink effect, where no one wants to cause conflict because they disagree, rather just go along to avoid it.
Anyways, once I dealt with the fact that I WOULD be exiled, I began sending people pms with last-day conversations for them to use to catch spies once i was gone. I was determined to catch one, whether I was dead or alive. Hopefully someone took it to heart and will actually use the information. I scattered the seeds, Sam. And maybe under the right conditions those seeds will crack open and grow into trees those spies can't jump out of.
I really did enjoy playing, but once again I betray myself, and appear more suspicious than I would have being an actual spy. It was a combination of this and the players style in my team that led to my downfall. Its by far not the first time I've gone down first, but almost always someone gets caught as a result. And that is my hope here. As I told Khaled, 1:1 citizen for spy trade off is not only good, its damn good.
I'm going to keep up with the game. I really want to see how it unfolds now that I've damned Yvette to dreaded "responsibility" and "accountability" which seems foreign to her.
Lets play Spies.
