And here begins the tale of Brother Levi... Levi was a young lad, but what he lacked in experience, he made up for with his pleasant disposition and eagerness to eliminate the scourge, the spies, that had thrown the burg into disarray.
"Don't worry [insert name of dead citizen here] I will get the last two spies for you!" He said, repeatedly. Levi failed over and over again to find those spies, instead pegging citizen after citizen. This failure didn't seem to slow down Levi, though, for he was full of optimism. One day he would find those spies, he vowed, as he cast yet another exile vote for a citizen. The good people of the burg grimaced at his bad voting record, but they knew his heart was in the right place. Eventually Levi's optimism would win over, and the spies would be gone...
Only...
There was one catch.
Brother Levi was actually an Undercover Brother. He was a spy. Killing off citizens never got old for Levi. And he smiled with optimism, knowing the next episode had another citizen waiting to be exiled as well...
Chapter 1
Levi and his spy friends were split into 3 teams. He got paired with Donald and Amelia, along with 8 citizens in a team of 11. Levi had a "gut read" that Donald was a spy. In actuality, he just checked the spy HQ, saw Donald post there, and figured..."yep, I have an excellent gut!" Despite this gut read, he decided to post his first suspicion on Kirsten, instead. It was only a gut read on Donald, after all, so why not keep it silent? When Kirsten suggested to Levi that she was suspicious of Donald, though, Levi both agreed with Kirsten and even went so far as to say
spies6levi (3:41:48 PM): Donald would not be a bad choice for Exile
Levi showed how insincere his suspicions of Kirsten were when he told his number 1 suspect that he would agree to lynch her number 1 suspect. Levi then proceeded to ignore Kirsten for the rest of the episode, but leave her on his ever-growing list of people he was willing to exile, anyway. Despite Levi saying:
spies6levi (6:01:19 PM): Imma gonna announce who my vote will most likely be
spies6levi (6:01:27 PM): My vote is probably going to Donald
Levi did a terrific job of ignoring Donald the entire episode. In fact, he posted his chat with Roxy, and suggested willingness to exile Mei Yun as well (even though Mei Yun soon became 100% citizen!). He had 4 suspects (Roxy, Mei Yun, Kirsten, Donald) and just couldn't seem to pick his top suspect.
What that means when translated is the following: "I need to leave Donald on my suspicions list. If a wagon forms on him, I need to be able to bus if possible. I also said I would vote for him, which was really just a blatant lie, but if I take him off my suspicions completely it will look, well, suspicious. I'm going to keep Kirsten on the list. If a wagon forms on her, I will not avoid the opportunity to exile her and get rid of her trifling ass. If the wagon doesn't form, I'm going to just ignore her though. Best to ignore it and hope it goes away. Mei Yun and I trust each other completely, but hey, I could exile her and get rid of a huge benefit to the citizen team. And Roxy really just is the easiest citizen on our team, so, yeah. I can vote her and I won't even look bad exiling a citizen."
Levi ended up voting for Roxy.
Chapter 2
This page has been torn out of the book. A sticky note reads: The author was not around to get a clear view of what occurred this episode. However, Levi basically just wagoned on Paris, as his spy buddy Iris slapped a minus vote on him for safe-keeping.
Chapter 3
At this point, Levi had to defend himself quite thoroughly against the attacks made by Kirsten and others. Going into the episode, he was a clear front runner in terms of suspicions. Thankfully, Jenya started a case against Yvette, and Levi was all too happy to get on board. When Kirsten made a case against Donald, Levi decided to ignore it completely. For someone who he was going to vote for episode 1, and had a gut read on as scum, it's quite interesting that Levi decided to ignore the Donald case completely. Kirsten called out Levi on ignoring the Donald case, but Levi replied that he wasn't ignoring it, he just didn't have anything to say about it. In essence, Levi decided to just ignore it some more. Donald, who had conveniently ignored Levi, himself, decided to half-heartedly attack Levi in the Leave Eye thread, but only after the pressure on him was enough to where he might be an exile choice. Ladies and Gentlemen, that wasn't busing. Nope... Not busing. Right...
Donald and Levi both vote for Yvette. Donald posted suspicions of Levi in Levi's thread. Levi had a gut read that Donald was a spy. However, they had no problems voting together on Yvette. Donald for self-preservation...Levi based on really weak reasons, as he blindly ignored everything else that episode.
Chapter 4
Levi sustained heavy attack from Kirsten this episode. He tells me his suspects are:
spies6Kirsten (11:33:11 AM): give me a list of 3 suspects
spies6levi (11:33:18 AM): Just 3?
spies6Kirsten (11:33:24 AM): I have absolutely no idea where you stand on anything
spies6Kirsten (11:33:30 AM): your top 3
spies6levi (11:33:31 AM): Faith, Georgia, Donald
spies6levi (11:33:55 AM): All three are people that I want to talk to and get info from
Donald - From day one I got a feeling that he had something to hide. Evidence has been brought up against him, which agrees with my earlier suspicions. I'm not writing him off as a Spy yet, but he is currently a major suspect. SPY SCALE: 7
It's funny how he agrees with my case against Donald...the next episode. He's not quite ready to write him off as a spy, though. Convenient.
Levi ignores Donald the rest of the episode, opting instead to attack Mirela and Ed, two citizens. He eventually ends up voting Donald in the IRV...when the options were between Donald and Levi. He claims Donald was number 3 on his list, behind Mirela and Ed.
Donald, who Levi had read as scum since episode 1, but had ignored all game somehow was less of a suspect than Mirela. Levi's only point against Mirela was that her only suspect was Faith. Levi agreed with the evidence against Donald. That means Levi thought Mirela having Faith as her only suspect was more suspicious than his gut saying Donald was a spy + all the evidence raised against Donald. That doesn't make much sense, does it?
For someone who had Donald as a top suspect, he sure didn't make much effort to push for Donald. He still didnt' post in the Donald thread, or say anything about Donald beyond that one small segment I noted, where he even suggests he doesn't want to write Donald off as a spy yet. Trying to keep the jailer around?
Levi says: "Faith, as of right now, Ed and Mirela are above you on my suspect list. Y"
Levi claims he had Donald as 3rd on his list? So why wouldn't Levi say: "Faith, as of right now, Ed, Mirela, and Donald are above you on my suspect list." Was Levi lying about having Donald 3rd on his list? *Gasp*
Chapter 5
After Levi barely escapes episode 4 with his life, he's out for more citizen blood. First of all, Levi now notes that he's not very suspicious of Georgia, despite Georgia being one of his top 3 the previous episode. What brought about this change in behavior? A valid question...
Levi waffles between William and Faith, and eventually votes for Faith. Missing is any reasoning why he thinks Faith is a spy. He can't "in good faith vote for anyone else." Why could Levi "in good faith" vote for Faith then?
"Right now my vote is going to Faith. I don't like that I'm voting for someone I need to talk to, but I can't in good faith vote for anyone else. Right now she is the most suspicious from my point of view."
Suspicious vote, friend.
In the chat before exile where Ellis and I grilled Iris and forced her into the bad claim, Levi was around, but was mostly silent. For someone that Levi had listed as "2" on his spy scale (the most citizen ranking he gave anyone), this is all Levi had to say about Iris:
spies6levi (6:22:38 PM): Iris, I'm sorry, but even though I trust you
spies6levi (6:22:47 PM): It's only based off of a gut feeling
Chapter 6
Levi wasn't quite ready to label Iris as a spy.
spies6levi (3:58:30 PM): I'm still thinking about Iris
spies6Kirsten (3:58:39 PM): she's a spy
spies6Kirsten (3:59:47 PM): but what are your thoughts on her?
spies6Kirsten (3:59:49 PM): :-)
spies6levi (3:59:54 PM): I don't know
spies6levi (4:00:01 PM): Amelia stopped by and confirmed the role
spies6Kirsten (4:01:00 PM): she confirmed imprisonment immunity
spies6Kirsten (4:01:07 PM): the role is still at large
spies6levi (4:01:21 PM): So how else did she get the immunity?
spies6Kirsten (4:01:51 PM): couple of possibilities. She's a spy and is lying to save a spy buddy. Spies have the ability to give imprisonment immunity for the sake of confirming themselves
spies6levi (4:02:42 PM): Or Iris is a cit who awarded an imprisonment immunity at the very beginning of the game to Amelia
spies6Kirsten (4:04:08 PM): or a spy who did the same
spies6Kirsten (4:04:18 PM): Levi, you were at the opening chat and stuff, right?
spies6levi (4:04:22 PM): Yes
spies6Kirsten (4:04:25 PM): Was Iris there?
spies6levi (4:04:32 PM): I do not remember
spies6Kirsten (4:04:46 PM): I'm pretty sure she was, because I remember people talking about her for the opening chat challenge
spies6Kirsten (4:04:53 PM): was Amelia there?
spies6levi (4:05:20 PM): I don't remember either, I just remember the announcements
spies6Kirsten (4:05:31 PM): or what about before the opening chat
spies6levi (4:05:32 PM): Sorry that I don't remember the list of everyone in attendance
spies6levi (4:05:33 PM): :-(
spies6Kirsten (4:05:39 PM): no, it's fine
spies6Kirsten (4:05:44 PM): I'm not accusing you of anything, hah
spies6Kirsten (4:05:59 PM): do you remember if Iris was around at all opening day?
spies6levi (4:06:06 PM): I don't remember Iris or Amelia being around
spies6Kirsten (4:06:09 PM): ok
spies6levi (4:06:16 PM): Most of the people I remember are gone :-(
spies6levi (4:06:22 PM): Mei, Robert, Callahan, Yvette
spies6levi (4:06:34 PM): Rey was there, so was Gabriela, I think
spies6levi (4:06:37 PM): Ariel, obv
spies6Kirsten (4:07:46 PM): alright
spies6levi (4:08:44 PM): Found it
spies6levi (4:08:47 PM): Iris was there
spies6levi (4:08:49 PM): spies6.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pub94095&action=display&thread=493
spies6Kirsten (4:09:18 PM): yep
spies6Kirsten (4:09:19 PM): ok
spies6Kirsten (4:09:29 PM): if you were Iris, why would you give imprisonment immunity to Amelia?
spies6Kirsten (4:09:34 PM): put yourself in her shoes
spies6levi (4:09:50 PM): Her picture looked nice?
spies6Kirsten (4:09:52 PM): wouldn't you give it to Mei Yun, or Ariel, or Robert, or Yvette?
spies6Kirsten (4:09:58 PM): someone who displayed smarts opening day
spies6levi (4:10:10 PM): But that all depends on the exact timing of when she had to give the gifts out
spies6Kirsten (4:10:11 PM): why would you pick a lurker who hadn't showed up yet
spies6Kirsten (4:10:19 PM): we didn't have roles at that point
spies6Kirsten (4:10:30 PM): she didn't get her role until the following day
spies6levi (4:10:42 PM): She said something to the contrary
spies6levi (4:10:50 PM): Iris said she got her's day 1
spies6Kirsten (4:10:55 PM): then she's lying
spies6levi (4:11:02 PM): Because Sam didn't want to give the roles to people who received gifts
spies6Kirsten (4:11:08 PM): Sam made an announcement saying he hadn't given out roles yet
spies6levi (4:11:32 PM): I have little faith in Iris left
------------
spies6Kirsten (4:54:21 PM): she lied about the confessional thing
spies6Kirsten (4:54:25 PM): and then said she had to lie about her role
spies6Kirsten (4:54:38 PM): and then she proceeded to tell the truth about what that part of her role actually was
spies6Kirsten (4:54:47 PM): if she had to lie about her role, then she couldn't have told the truth later
spies6levi (4:55:05 PM): Thank you
spies6levi (4:55:12 PM): You just removed my 10% of doubt
------------
Also, apparently Iris told both Rey and Levi about the "confessional lie" but Levi didn't make any effort to evaluate Iris based off if it. Rey posted his interrogation in the burg. Levi just kind of did nothing.
Chapter 7-11
Dead citizens.
Chapter 12
Levi attacks me for an hour. Afterward, he calls me a cleared citizen, and apologizes to me for attacking me. Fishy. Later, he defends me using the same arguments he used to call me a spy, only interpreted differently.
Chapter 13
Levi, despite clearing me as a citizen, immediately swaps his opinion when Jenya presents him with the idea that either me or him are likely to be a spy based on the way the first episode went down. I ask him who my spy buddy is, and he suggests Jason.
spies6jenya (5:55:07 PM):I actually think it's Kirsten-Jason.
Interesting how his opinion matches exactly with Jenya's! Levi is playing follow the leader to the last misexile, me.
Levi's only reason for thinking I'm a spy is that he doesn't think there were 5 spies in Team Clusterfuck round 1. That's a decent argument, except it also applies to him. Why am I the spy and not Levi? If you remove that argument, because it could go either way, he has nothing. All that remains is him calling me a cleared citizen the previous episode.
His reasoning for pinning Jason to me is horrible. He thinks Jason and I are spies together because I've attacked Jason. Um...shouldn't that mean we aren't spies together? Apparently the prevailing logic in this game is that if you attack someone you are probably spies with them. How are the spies still alive then? Shouldn't they have exiled each other into oblivion by now?
"Don't worry [insert name of dead citizen here] I will get the last two spies for you!" He said, repeatedly.
