spies6ellis (16:02:32): Hi Georgia
spies6Georgia (16:02:52): Hey Ellis.
spies6ellis (16:03:0): Sorry about last night
spies6ellis (16:03:7): Seems like one of us is always dashing off somewhere.
spies6ellis (16:03:33): Anyway I wanted some advice
spies6ellis (16:03:43): And you seemed like the right person to ask.
spies6Georgia (16:04:0): No problem.
spies6ellis (16:04:17): Soooo I really can't afford another penalty this time out
spies6ellis (16:04:32): which means I somehow have to find eight burg posts to post.
spies6ellis (16:04:37): So far I've insulted Rey and Jenya
spies6ellis (16:04:41): Said goodbye to Ed
spies6ellis (16:04:48): and asked everyone why they aren't posting more in the burg.
spies6Georgia (16:05:56): Did he say just posts, or relative to the game posts?
spies6ellis (16:06:4): Relevant to game posts
spies6ellis (16:06:12): which means that if you don't count Ed's farewell
spies6ellis (16:06:16): I still have six left to do.
spies6Georgia (16:07:9): Do you have any questions for people?
spies6ellis (16:07:20): lol
spies6ellis (16:07:25): that comes under the same heading as "suspicions"
spies6ellis (16:07:30): which is: none that I'd ever post in the burg!
spies6ellis (16:07:47): I guess there are circumstances where posting that stuff might somehow be useful to the citizens.
spies6ellis (16:07:51): Right now I can't think of any.
spies6Georgia (16:08:12): When people post in public they lie, or they don't say what they really think
spies6ellis (16:08:27): Not always
spies6ellis (16:08:39): but I know some do, some who I think are citizens
spies6Georgia (16:08:42): I agree with that to a certain extent. However when you chat one-on-one with someone; they can lie there as well.
spies6Georgia (16:08:50): And the other person(s) can make it public.
spies6ellis (16:09:2): The difference being, it's not plastered all over the burg.
spies6ellis (16:09:44): With the (very unlikely) exception of Kirsten's Donald case - unlikely because I think Donald's exile was decided over AIM about twenty minutes before votes were due, I was there -
spies6Georgia (16:09:47): Thought Spies isn't all about AIM. It involves the Burg as well.
spies6ellis (16:10:1): I can't think of a single time the burg has influenced the voting in any way.
spies6Georgia (16:10:10): Yvette.
spies6ellis (16:10:18): lol
spies6ellis (16:10:22): maybe, but that's not encouraging
spies6ellis (16:10:34): ok...
spies6ellis (16:10:39): I'll run with your first idea for the moment.
spies6ellis (16:10:41): Questions.
spies6Georgia (16:10:55): Well yeah. But one case of non enouragement - doesn't equal a study. Or a valid conclusion.
spies6Georgia (16:11:38): You can still keep things to yourself, and make non/secret plans in AIM - as well as posting thoughts regarding things in the burg at the same time.
spies6ellis (16:12:4): tbh I'm not a huge fan of forum games
spies6ellis (16:12:18): I find that the least threatening players are almost always the ones who make it to the end
spies6ellis (16:12:22): which defeats the point, really
spies6ellis (16:12:29): You only get punished for good play.
spies6Georgia (16:13:10): Haha. I agree with that. They are threatened, so they have to take out their biggest threats/enemies out first.
spies6Georgia (16:13:18): Happens all too often.
spies6Georgia (16:13:45): But the same goes for situations outside of forum games.
spies6ellis (16:13:53): That's true
spies6Georgia (16:14:0): It is a good strategic tactic. Unless of course it points directly to you.
spies6ellis (16:14:10): look at Robert's imprisonment for example, he was an obvious threat to the spies just from his burg posts
spies6Georgia (16:14:18): Yeah.
spies6ellis (16:14:23): (and maybe from AIM and other things too, I'm not making a point about the Burg there)
spies6ellis (16:14:39): lol
spies6ellis (16:14:42): I just had a fantastic thought
spies6ellis (16:14:47): so if people in the burg are "burgers"
spies6ellis (16:15:1): do you call people who mostly post cliche and sentiment rather than strategy
spies6ellis (16:15:4): "cheeseburgers"?
spies6Georgia (16:15:18): .Ahaha.
spies6ellis (16:15:26): Or people who overact all the time "hamburgers"?
spies6ellis (16:15:34): Or...
spies6ellis (16:15:37): ...
spies6ellis (16:15:42): ok I've run out of burger jokes.
spies6Georgia (16:15:54): Surloin Burgers.
spies6Georgia (16:16:0): A stretch.
spies6ellis (16:16:27): I'm laughing behind my grimace.
spies6Georgia (16:16:37): Haha.
spies6ellis (16:16:45): lol, sorry, best I could do.
spies6ellis (16:16:50): Anyway, I've posted a question for Ariel.
spies6ellis (16:16:57): That's post #3.
I'm not sure why he thought I would be able to give him advice on the subject. lol.
