Thoughts on the consensus exile

I'm wondering what your thoughts were on the consensus exile. How do you think it went? Would you have run things differently if you were the leader? What did you think about the discussions?


I'm also curious if you were having any private one-on-one conversations during the Exile. If so could you post those conversations in your confessional for me? Maybe you could also tell me what went on from your perspective behind the scenes?


And finally, what did you think of the ultimate conclusion? How did you feel about the end of the discussion? I love to hear your thoughts, thanks.

I had such a terrible headache by the end of it, otherwise I think it might have ended better. I really wasn't sure about Rey but I couldn't stay another few hours to discuss it. I spent the last 15 minutes scrolling up and reading his defense, and it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. He was just such a weird player.

I think the process was pretty smooth. It was fun when I was feeling ok. It got people participating a lot better. We tried not to steamroll the process but I think it happened a little. Strong personalities won as always.

When consensus ended, and Rey's alignment was revealed, Jenya logged off IMMEDIATELY. I thought she was just acting like Iris and laughing her ass off in the Spy Lounge.

For me, most of the concensus exile consisted of me making smart-ass comments in the loser's lounge or screaming epithets at poor Casey about how the idiots weren't even considering the possibility that Jason was a spy.

There was a fantastic commentary by Mei Yun in the Loser's Lounge which includes many thoughts by myself and her as it went on, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have been ported across yet. Sam, could you do us a favour and get hold of it? Thanks a bazillion!
