Special Event Speculation

You know what guys....I think that the special event may just be a surprise elimination. Or a surprise exiling should I say. If I am right about that, we can almost certainly be sure the picture in the blueprint of the huddling clay figures relates to how we will decide the exilee.

I'm thinking....something similar to council of nine from last season....or temporarily back in teams....or....we could be split into fives to do....something.

Argh I dont know, trying to second guess Sam is silly I know, but all I'm saying is, we should be prepared for the arrival of a surprise elimination and we should know how we wish to deal with it. Especially given Amelia's tentative position.

I think so, too... The way Sam talks about it makes it sound that way, for sure...

And yeah, and better yet we should make sure whatever this activity is we're all awesome at it in case the loser is the one that goes home -_-

By the way guys, it may be an exiling, but, I think theres going to be some big twist, in the same way that the Shootout occurred in spies 5, I think we may be getting...something. Now, this may or may not include an exile, the next part of my post is assuming that an exile does take place.

So, we actually need to come up with a plan (yes thats right we have to come up with something concrete one something we dont even know what it is yet, I realise the impossibility of this ask).

This, like, EVERYTHING ELSE, the spies have done, is all talk. We come up with some great ideas, and if we only implemented half of them, we'd be spinning these guys around in circles...we can easily be in that position but we need to do what we say.

So...heres at least what I'm thinking....Jason, are you close with Mirela? You seemed that way but I can never tell what shes doing and thinking. Similarily where does Jason stand in terms of suspicions? What about with Rey?

We need to come up with a way to, if the need arises, quickly garner votes onto Rey, because, lets be realistic, if people are going to need to come up with a name quickly on who to exile, you can bet Amelia will turn up quite a few times.

Amelia, who are you close to? Who probably wouldnt vote for you if suddenly asked? Who have you spoken most too recently? Etc etc.

(Like I said, trying to guess Sam is silly, BUT, if you look at it, theres going to be a break straight after this, I dont think Sam will restore the game for one night and not eliminate someone....but who knows...)

I'm close enough with Mirela to get her to vote Rey... And I'm pretty sure she can get Roxy to do so... And we all know Ariel would love to. Jenya, I think, would be on Rey, too... So I'm pretty sure we can muster the Rey votes in a tight situation unless something drastically changes.

Good questions, Pete. I don't think Kirsten or Jenya would vote for me immediately if asked to do so. Otherwise, it's a mystery!

As it stands, I can be there for the event for an hour, maybe 1.5 hours if I push, which I can do if it turns out I need to stay longer.

We've held on so well and you guys are amazing. I'm refreshed from vacay and eager to jump back in. We can definitely do this.

So, we can establish some concrete rules for the challenge, such as:

1. We don't vote for each other to leave the game, no matter what.
This could require some on-the-fly justification or acting flustered, etc., but we can't afford to be voting for one another in case something happens. I know this affects you two more than me, since you both are seen as less suspicious than I, but I think it's important. So, discuss.

2. If we get a chance to give something good to someone, we vote Jason.
This is a no-brainer, really. He seems good, he's not a Super-Cit, and therefore not dangerous as a possible Spy for being around so long. It won't be hard to justify voting for him.

3. If we for some reason cannot communicate privately, we need some simple signals that are easily understood and unambiguous.
I think we need to come up with some jokes or something that will seem innocuous to everyone else, but can communicate basic things to one another. Like, we might comment on Gretchen being fat to refer to me for example.

What others do we need? This may be kind of grueling, but hopefully it's not a huge twist. If either of you have played before, I'd appreciate some ideas on possible twists and such. We can't plan for every contingency, but we can lay a nice framework to help us adapt and roll with the punches.

Ok, so, guys, its pretty obvious what the special event will be. We will do the entire exile in one timeframe of unknown length...and its going to be tough.

We cannot be quiet and we must voice our opinions (doesnt really apply to you two, but does to me ) we also have to be careful in what we say as this chat will be huge in deciding the rest of the game.
I'm really raking my brains for this one really, I cannot think of a reason for Pete to not vote for Amelia this round, so Amelia you will need to step up AND call me out on the fact that Pete cant make a decision on you without talking to you and making my own points. Which Pete will respond with the generic points which Ive been saying for some time, and then you can beat down once more.

As things stand, we could if we wanted, block Amelia getting exiled this round. We really could, three is the magic number and thats exactly how many people we have. Though, if things get bad, that may turn out to be suicidal, so, yeah.

Though, and heres the thing, how on earth are we going to get Rey out?

Tiberius and Rey will autoblock, so it will need just ONE more person to vote for Rey to eliminate him from discussion.

Yeah my thoughts on this are...

If we're the ONLY two people that block Amelia from going this round... people are going to vote her NEXT round just to see because they'll know they have all three Spies if she turns up Spy...

I'm not going to support doing ANYTHING that links all three of us together and completely separated from the rest of the Burg; that IS suicide. No matter what fire any of us come under I don't think that two of us should opt to block out the other; let other people assist in the blocking or don't block. Ultimately if we win this game the whole team wins, but if we tie ourselves together and one of us goes then all of us go in order and it's over.


I'm REALLY hoping we can talk Tiberius out of blocking Rey... chances are the majority of the Burg WILL want Rey gone and we have to push hard for that because it's probably the only way to save Amelia.

Oh lord. No, Jason, I totally agree with you that you and Pete and I should not be blocking me together.

However, this will be fine. I'm good at on-the-spot defenses and I'm better in chat than in the thread.

I'm thinking of claiming that I used my Imprisonment Immunity during the last Imprisonment. They have to be wondering why we took out Oswald and even though I should have "known better" than to think the Spies would imprison someone suspicious enough to get Exiled, I think I've paved the way for another silly mistake in my "desperation."

Thoughts?

Anyway, will we be able to chat with one another during the Exile?

Uh, well crap guys. I just realized that I mistakenly adjusted for Eastern time and though the Live Event would be at 6:30 Eastern, not 8:30. I absolutely cannot be on...so I may be sunk, but don't put yourselves out there trying to save me by any means.

I feel really stupid, actually, for the mistake, but I have an immovable obligation at 7 p.m. Central tonight.
