Still love this game so much.
Great quality of characters, with such interesting personalities.
About this game, I'll never forget the Final Exile reveal. Live in chat. I had the webcam on. I have five playing cards. On one side I had the picture of the player. On the back I had their Spy or Citizen identity. I flipped them over one by one.
Almost always, the Spies are known by the end of the game. Either by the players (Citizens win). Or by the viewing lounge (Spies win). I mean the viewing lounge. Usually they got all the Spies by the middle/end of the game, and everybody was on consensus. I mean I'm sure it wasn't 100% in their minds, but it seemed that way.
So the final-day reveal of who is a Spy and Citizen, especially when Spies win, often isn't the most "shocking." You don't get the pleasure of a stunning reveal, leaving everybody gasping in awe.
Except for Spies 6.
I'll never forget the Final Exile reveal. I was SO excited to get to reveal after 60 days of deception. Pete and Jason did SUCH as good job, no one had any clue it was them lol. Even the viewer's lounge was clueless. I mean, think about it. Everyone had all these complex theories in their head for 2 months. I was about to flip their entire perception of the entire game around in just one card flip. They would have to re-analyze EVERYTHING.
First, I was so worried in the hours up to the finale that something would happen and Pete/Jason would be revealed. There's always a possibility. I was refreshing confessionals to read conversations - the vote kept changing. Seeing as I was planning a live finale that would depend on all of this, it was nerve racking lol.
But I got to the finale and I was going to get to do the shocking reveal.
Ofc I planned out when I revealed each person. Levi was Exiled... Citizen! Gasp. Crazy. Spies win. But who...?
All of the remaining ones were practically "super cits." NO ONE thought it was Jason. People were conflicted on Jenya, for sure.
As I flipped each card, all of a sudden perceptions and opinions changed. It was so funny to watch Jason/Pete still be shocked and play along to the very end.
I specifically remember when I flipped a card and then Jenya realized (since she wasn't a Spy) that Jason must be a Spy. If only I had a confessional written from her point of view about that experience!!! I want to know!!!
Judge Sam (8:06:35 PM): Yes today was very interesting... how many hours were you debating things in the spies6 chat room and in private IMs?

spies6Kirsten (8:06:44 PM): can it be measured in hours?

sPIEs6Jason (8:06:49 PM): All day...
spies6Kirsten (8:06:50 PM): I might need days
spies6pete (8:06:52 PM): no kirsten, it cant
Judge Sam (8:06:54 PM): I'm not exactly sure what happened but I heard there was some back and forth... and some of these votes are a little surprising.
sPIEs6Jason (8:06:57 PM): At least like 6 hours
spies6levi (8:07:10 PM): At the beginning of today
spies6levi (8:07:15 PM): There were two candidates for Exile
spies6levi (8:07:21 PM): And everything completely changed throughout the day

Also I just reread a lot of my flavor posts. And activity posts. And union meeting posts. And Exile posts. Jesus that's a lot, thank God I didn't have a job during this game...
